essay on health

Similarly, maintaining good health is dependent on a lot of factors. It ranges from the air you breathe to the type of people you choose to spend your time with. Health has a lot of components that carry equal importance. If even one of them is missing, a person cannot be completely healthy.

Constituents of Good Health

First, we have our physical health. This means being fit physically and in the absence of any kind of disease or illness . When you have good physical health, you will have a longer life span. One may maintain their physical health by having a balanced diet . Do not miss out on the essential nutrients; take each of them in appropriate quantities.

Secondly, you must exercise daily. It may be for ten minutes only but never miss it. It will help your body maintain physical fitness. Moreover, do not consume junk food all the time. Do not smoke or drink as it has serious harmful consequences. Lastly, try to take adequate sleep regularly instead of using your phone.

Next, we talk about our mental health . Mental health refers to the psychological and emotional well-being of a person. The mental health of a person impacts their feelings and way of handling situations. We must maintain our mental health by being positive and meditating.

Subsequently, social health and cognitive health are equally important for the overall well-being of a person. A person can maintain their social health when they effectively communicate well with others. Moreover, when a person us friendly and attends social gatherings, he will definitely have good social health. Similarly, our cognitive health refers to performing mental processes effectively. To do that well, one must always eat healthily and play brain games like Chess, puzzles and more to sharpen the brain.

Physical Health Alone is Not Everything

There is this stigma that surrounds mental health. People do not take mental illnesses seriously. To be completely fit, one must also be mentally fit. When people completely discredit mental illnesses, it creates a negative impact.

For instance, you never tell a person with cancer to get over it and that it’s all in their head in comparison to someone dealing with depression . Similarly, we should treat mental health the same as physical health.

Parents always take care of their children’s physical needs. They feed them with nutritious foods and always dress up their wounds immediately. However, they fail to notice the deteriorating mental health of their child. Mostly so, because they do not give it that much importance. It is due to a lack of awareness amongst people. Even amongst adults, you never know what a person is going through mentally.

Thus, we need to be able to recognize the signs of mental illnesses . A laughing person does not equal a happy person. We must not consider mental illnesses as a taboo and give it the attention it deserves to save people’s lives.

Essay on “Health” Complete Essay for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and other classes.

Recently, the government launched the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) aimed at correcting rural inequities in the matter of health. It correctly seeks to integrate health with those essential inputs in health, namely , sanitation, hygiene , safe drinking water, and nutrition. Most of the schemes and programmers initiated by our governments looks good on paper; where they fail is where it really masters-on the ground, in the implementation. The infrastructure devised- again on paper-for rural health delivery has little to find fault with, but the primary health centers and sub-centers, as we all know, are crumbling if they have not already collapsed. In place of a well structured delivery system of health care, there is a thriving sector of quacks. And by quacks, one does not necessarily mean practioners of the indigenous systems of medicine per se, but pretenders to all systems of medicine. Is that only because of paucity of funds, as government investment in the health sector is admittedly low as a proportion of the GDP? One hesitates to put all the blame on tically all our well-intentioned plans and programmers for the welfare of the people.

The NHRM Proposes to empower local communities in the matter of public health; specific health plans are sought to be drawn up for each village by special health committees within the panchayats. Good enough, but what about the way our villages are structured? There has been little change in the feudal mindsets and the caste/community hierarchies , Panchayats, supposed to be epitomes of grassroots democracy, are notorious for the stifling of democratic values. irrespective of caste and community , there is universal discrimination against women. In the circumstances , the social participation and empowerment envisaged by the health mission is bound to be skewed in favour of the already empowered to the further detriment of the already marginalized. The panchayats are not the ideal political bodies that one likes to see them as- fair and free of bias. It was possible in a story by Premchand for a person to lose his personal grudges and become objective and absolutely just as a soon as he assumed the position of  ‘panch’. In today’s realities, patronage alone is seen as functioning. The selection of the office bearers will be governed by who is close to the ruling elite at the village level. It would be foolish to expect equitable representation of all castes and communities, and least of all women , in such a situation. So , whither the basic objective of empowering local communities? Will , for instance, there be a concerted effort to root out female foeticide without women becoming strong enough a voice their protest and stand up for their rights?

Women , from infant stage to their old age , get an unfair deal in matters of health. Firstly, as a class, they are conditioned through generations to place themselves last within the  family itself, though they put in the most labour without any  financial gain in the funning of that family. As such , their health concerns also get a very low priority, if at all. Women themselves bear in silence pain and discomfort for long periods of time without seeking relief. And they are implicitly encouraged by other family members to do so. The abysmal sex ratio in India as revealed by the 2001 census speaks volumes about the importance given to women in this country. Women are discriminated subtly and not so subtly when it comes to the treatment of diseases and medical problem requiring expensive treatment, it is inevitably the man who gets the first attention, often the only one to get the attention; women can wait. All means of bearing the cost of treatment will be explored and availed for the man’s treatment but in the case of the woman, there will be procrastination, an unwillingness to go to all lengths to procure the treatment. It is not just the poor who , for want of resources, and with the inherent preference for the boy, are guilty of this dangerous and condemnable bias. a survey of uptown hospitals in Delhi revealed that even well-off parents discriminate against the girl child in the matter of medical treatment. Seems unbelievable, but statistics go to prove this fact. Doctors vouch for the fact that it is attitude that is responsible for the skewed statistics it would be blatantly erroneous to assume that the health of the girl child id so robust that she needs little medical attention! Doctors say how parents often declare their unwillingness to pay for the expensive treatment of their daughter, and that is would be different if it a son were the patient. Yet another statistical information spoke volumes about the bias. while the male – women ratio for organ donors at the AIIMS was 40 to 100, the male-female ratio of recipients of organs at the same hospital was 560 to 100!

What is physical health.

Physical health means your body is working well. It’s when you are not sick and can do your daily activities without trouble. Eating good food, exercising, sleeping enough, and seeing a doctor regularly help keep you healthy.

Importance of Exercise

Moving your body makes you stronger and helps you feel good. When you play sports, run, or do yoga, you help your heart, muscles, and bones. Exercise also makes you happier and helps you sleep better.

Eating Healthy

Your body needs good food to work properly. Fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy give you energy and keep you well. Drinking water is also important. Try to eat less junk food.

Rest and Sleep

Sleeping enough is very important for health. When you sleep, your body fixes itself and gets ready for the next day. Kids should sleep for 9-12 hours every night.

Regular Check-ups

Going to the doctor even when you feel fine is a good idea. The doctor checks if everything in your body is okay and can help prevent sickness. It’s part of taking care of your health.

250 Words Essay on Physical Health

Physical health means having a body that works well and feels good. It’s not just about not being sick; it’s also about being strong, flexible, and full of energy. A body in good shape can play, learn, and do all sorts of activities without getting tired too quickly.

Eating Right

Eating healthy food is key to good health. Your body is like a machine that needs the right fuel to run smoothly. This means eating lots of fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins. Drinking plenty of water is also important. Sweet snacks and fast food might taste good, but they don’t give your body what it needs to stay healthy.

Being Active

Exercise is another big part of staying healthy. When you move your body, you make your muscles stronger and help your bones grow. Activities like running, jumping rope, or playing sports are great for keeping your heart healthy. Even walking or riding a bike to school can help.

Your body needs to rest after working hard all day. Getting enough sleep every night helps your body repair itself and get ready for the next day. A well-rested body can fight off germs better and keep you from getting sick.

Staying Clean

Keeping clean is also part of being healthy. Washing your hands, taking showers, and brushing your teeth stop germs from making you sick. Good hygiene helps you stay fit and active.

Remember, taking care of your body helps you feel good and do your best every day!

500 Words Essay on Physical Health

Physical health is about how well our bodies work. It’s like when you have a toy that needs batteries to move. If the batteries are good, the toy moves well. Our bodies are like that toy, and we need to take care of them to stay active and strong. Eating good food, exercising, sleeping enough, and going to the doctor are some ways to keep our bodies in good shape.

Imagine your body is a car. Just like a car needs fuel to run, your body needs food to work. But not just any food – it needs healthy food. Fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy give you energy and help you grow. Eating too much candy or fast food is like putting the wrong fuel in a car. It can make your body run poorly and you might feel tired or sick.

Staying Active

Playing is not just fun, it’s also a way to keep your body healthy. When you run, jump, or play sports, you’re exercising. Exercise helps your muscles get stronger, your heart pump better, and it can even make you feel happier. Try to play or do some kind of exercise every day.

Getting Enough Sleep

Sleep is like a charger for your body. When you sleep, your body fixes any damage and gets ready for the next day. Kids need a lot of sleep because they’re growing. If you don’t sleep enough, you might have trouble thinking, learning, and playing. Most kids need about 9-12 hours of sleep every night.

Seeing the Doctor

Doctors are like body mechanics. They check to make sure everything is working right and fix any problems. Going to the doctor even when you feel fine is important. They can give you shots to stop you from getting sick and help you stay healthy.

Keeping clean is part of being healthy too. Washing your hands, brushing your teeth, and taking baths or showers help keep germs away. Germs can make you sick, so it’s good to wash them off.

Safety is also a part of physical health. Wearing helmets when riding bikes, seatbelts in cars, and sunscreen outside helps prevent injuries. It’s like being careful with your toy so it doesn’t break.

Feeling Good

When your body is healthy, you usually feel good. You can play with friends, learn new things, and enjoy life. Sometimes, you might get sick or hurt, but taking care of your body helps you get better faster.

In summary, physical health is taking care of your body so it can work its best. Eating healthy foods, playing and exercising, sleeping well, going to the doctor, staying clean, and being safe are all important. When you take good care of your body, you feel good and can have lots of fun. Remember, your body is like a favorite toy – you need to take care of it so it can last a long time.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

Introduction to Health and Hygiene

The term "Health" refers to the body's natural and healthy state. It is a wonderful source of calm and joy. A healthy state of mind and a physically fit body are considered to be free of disorder, illness, or disease. Health refers to a person's physical, emotional, and psychological well-being in basic terms. Cleanliness, adequate wastewater disposal, and safe drinking water supply are all examples of hygiene practices that help to avoid disease and promote good health. It encompasses all activities aimed at enhancing, preserving, and maintaining excellent health.

Health and Hygiene

Health is a positive state of being in which all components of the body and mind are in proper balance and harmony with one another. As a result, all of the body's organs are in good working order. It is well believed that only those people may be considered healthy if they have a healthy mind and a healthy body. For a healthy and happy existence, health and cleanliness are essential. In terms of community hygiene, health education is critical. To avoid disease and have a positive attitude about health, you must have accurate and comprehensive health knowledge.

Hygiene is another word for sanitation and cleanliness. Great personal hygiene is essential for health reasons. One must practice good hygiene. We must cover our mouth while sneezing and immediately wash our hands to prevent the germs from spreading. This shows our consciousness about health through hygiene. Keeping a decent standard of cleanliness prevents the spread of disease. Social awareness must be spread amongst the civilians so that they would realize the importance of hygiene.

What Exactly is Health?

Health is a quality of life that enables you to live a longer life. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as "a condition of complete physical, mental, spiritual, and communal well-being, rather than only the absence of illness."A person is not regarded as healthy if he is free of sickness or in good bodily shape but is stressed, tense, angry, greedy, or in any other way.

Aspects of Health

Let's look at the health concerns for a moment.

Physical well-being

Mental well-being:

Emotional wellness

The well-being of the community

Spiritual well-being

Hygiene is the science and art of maintaining and improving one's physical and mental well-being. Hygiene enables people to have a healthy interaction with their surroundings. It is applicable to both individuals and communities. Recognize the importance of hygiene and sanitation in maintaining good health.

Our hands keep touching so many surfaces such as handrails, smartphones, steering wheels while driving, etc. Hands are the part of the body that spreads germs the most easily. It takes less than a minute to wash our hands; still, many people refrain from doing this. Good hand hygiene is proven beneficial in preventing the spread of diseases amongst society and family. As per the World Health Organization (WHO), washing hands with soap and water is sufficient to prevent the spread of certain diseases by almost 50%. The next important part of the body that needs proper hygiene is the eye. We are all aware that the eyes are the most delicate part of the body. So taking care of it is not only essential but a necessity. We are surrounded by thousands of electronic things which have a bad impact on the eyes. Keeping the eyes clean must be a frequent task in our daily routine.

While playing in the school, kids must take care of their belongings, such as their water bottles. It is important to keep such things in a clean place. Keeping the bottle here and there and then drinking from the same water bottle is harmful to health. Parents and teachers play a vital role in creating awareness about hygiene in kids.

Hygiene is like a preventive measure that keeps us away from diseases and various other health ailments. No matter how much you care about cleanliness, if the potable water itself is not clean, then it is of no use. Water needs to be not only clean but also healthy. Water is used throughout the day, from drinking, cooking to cleanliness activities. Hence, it is important to use clean water.

Civilians must be made aware of how to maintain hygiene in public places like hospitals. Hospitals are generally crowded with patients and it is obvious that the place will be a hotspot of bacteria and viruses. Hence, it is important to use hand sanitisers and maintain a safe distance from visibly sick people. The next critical step towards a healthy life is oral hygiene—proper oral hygiene wards off gum diseases, bad breath and many infections. Understanding the importance of hygiene will make it easier to eradicate the disease from the world.

How Do You Keep Your Hygiene?

The only thing that helps a person feel healthy is good hygiene. Otherwise, bacteria developing in the dirt generate a slew of ailments, and our health suffers as a result.

When we are surrounded by cleanliness, it makes us feel happy and motivates us to complete our tasks. If there is dirt surrounding us, no matter how focused we attempt to work, we will not be able to complete the task successfully. Our health will decline as well.

Hygiene is Crucial!

It helps to lessen the need for medical assistance: we are all susceptible to a variety of ailments around the world. Diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, cancer, gastrointestinal problems, asthma, and lung disorders affect a large portion of the world's population. Some of these diseases are deadly, and there is no treatment that can save a person's life. There are extremely few sicknesses in a sanitary living individual. This person will not require medication to remain healthy. It protects against numerous germs and viruses by preserving personal cleanliness.

Health is more valuable than money, and everyone's health is paramount. It has a strong link to hygiene and health. There will be good health when there is cleanliness. Our health is heavily influenced by our surroundings.

1. Western Impact on Indian Society

More than sixty years have passed since the British left India. But it is a

matter of great regret that the West or Englishness still dominates our way of life and culture. The younger generation is blindly aping the Western culture.

They follow their fashions in everything such as dress, music, dance and even food. They think that by doing so they can be considered to be modern.

But I think it just reverses. They have become so much crazy behind the Western styles that they have forgotten all about their own culture and traditions. They are forgetting Indian festivals and know all about ‘Valentine’s Day’.

They would hardly visited a temple but never miss a bar, coffee house or a club. They prefer Western food such as fast food and junk food to fresh food cooked at home. They feel hesitation in greeting someone with ‘Namaste’ and Pranam.

These words have been replaced by ‘Hallo’, ‘Bye’, ‘Tata’ etc. They look like clowns in Western dresses.

Girls and women ape Western dresses with a view to looking smart. But they forget that it encourages corruption and sex as well as sexual crime.

The younger generation must know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. It means the light of all knowledge has begun in the East. Once India has been Vishwaguru, the teacher of the world.

2. A College Function

The annual day of my college was celebrated with great pomp and a show on the 5th of April this year.

The Education Minister presided over the function. It was held in the auditorium. The minister came at 10.30 am sharp.

He was welcomed at the college gate by the Principal. When he entered the hall all stood up as a mark of respect.

The minister took his seat and the function began. The Principal spoke a few words to welcome the President and other guests.

Then he read out the annual report of the college” He gave an account of the progress made by the college during the preceding year.

After that the Principal requested the President to give away the prizes, The president stood up and gave away the prizes.

He shook hands with the prize winners. All the prize winners were loudly cheered.

Over 60 students received their prizes with beaming faces and twinkling eyes. Their parents felt proud to see them receiving prizes.

After giving away the prizes, the President made a short but impressive speech. He congratulated the prize winners. He advised the students to work hard.

He laid special stress on the value of discipline and good character. He spoke very highly of the college.

He congratulated the Principal and the staff on their excellent work.

In the end, the Principal thanked the President and the function was over. Tea was served to the guests and the prize winners. I enjoyed the function much.

3. College Magazine

College magazine shows the standard of the college which issues it. Good College publishes its magazine yearly. There is committee for publishing the magazine. The committee invites articles, poems, jokes etc.

from students as well as staff. The students and teachers submit their work to the secretary of the committee. The secretary sorts out the composition and does the necessary corrections. After sorting they sent to the press. The press prints them.

The students have to bear a trifling charge for the college magazine Publication of magazines teaches the students how to publish a book.

They learn how to edit something. They feel pride in themselves when they read their works in the magazine.

Publication or editing of some works gives practical knowledge to students. Those who learn it feel no difficulty in publication work if they choose the same.

4. Everybody should be religious

A person who has faith in religion then he called a religious person. A religious person is very good for the society as well as the nation.

A religious person has spiritual life free from anxiety, hatred & animity. A religious person is free from bad elements of society.

Therefore, everybody should be religious. The person who has faith in religion serves the people of the society as well as the nation. Every religious person is respected by the people of the society.

When everybody turns into a religious person, his mind can be free from bad thinking. The religious person leads a good life in society.

They perform all religious activities during leading their life. The religious person is respected by all & all people respect the religious person. Thus, we can say that the religious person are good citizens of the country.

The advantages of all religions are benefitted by religious people. Hence, everybody should be religious for a peaceful life.

5. A Great Indian Leader

Our country produced many leaders. Mahatma Gandhi is one of them. He was a great Indian leader.

He was born on 2nd Oct. 1869 without a silver spoon in his mouth. But his hard labour and curiosity made him a bold personality of the world. At school,

he was weak in English and Geometry. He was a man of simple living and high thinking from the very beginning. He went to England for a degree in law and returned to India. After getting a

degree in law from England, he practised in Bombay. But very soon, changed his mind and came close to the freedom movement. His real political career started in Champaran in Bihar.

Under his leadership, the freedom movement got a new life and direction.

Truth and non-violence were the weapon to fight against the English ruler which proved fruitful in getting freedom.

He went to jail several times along with his pious wife Kasturba. He tolerated the troubles and hot words given by the English ruler.

He was not only the leader of India but a man of inspiration for the world. Thousands of the people in the world are the followers of Mahatma Gandhi. So, after his crucial death, Gandhism is still alive.

6. The India of My Dream

In the India of My Dream every man will have a high moral sense, a deep love for the nation. Our country is backward in the field of science and industry.

I want India to be a leading country in new technology. Our industries should grow fast. We should produce everything we need. The India of my dream will go nuclear for peaceful purposes.

Education will get its due importance. Every country men will get a job of his choice. Students will be devoted to their studies. Politicians will not be allowed to misuse students.

India must be a very strong country in the world. We have to protect our hard-earned freedom. The defences of the country will be very strong. India is a peace-loving country.

But it will have to be ready for war if it trusts us. The India of my dream will follow the policy of truth and non-violence. We have peace only when we are very strong.

Our country will like to have friendly relations with its neighbours. The India of my dream will be a mighty country on all fronts.

Today, we find a big gap between the rich and the poor. There is corruption on all walks of life. The India of my dream will have social justice.

The gap between the poor and the rich will be narrowed down. Everybody will get equal opportunity to be at their best self. There will be discipline, peace and progress all around.

Nationalism will overcome the feelings of casteism and regionalism. There will be an atmosphere of equality brotherhood and freedom all over the country.

The India of my dream will bring heaven to earth. There will be Ram Rajya in the true sense of the term. May God fulfil my dream.

7. My Favorite Political Leader

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India and a great national political leader.

He was born to rich parents. He sacrificed all his comforts in the service of the nation. He was a highly qualified man.

He returned to India after obtaining the degree of law from the Cambridge University. But he did not continue his practice in the Allahabad High Court.

Giving up the life of ease and comfort he chose the life of hardship in the service of the country. He was interested in Indians’ struggle for freedom.

He joined the non-cooperation movement of Gandhiji and was sent to jail several times.

After India got freedom he became the first Prime Minister of India and held this post till he was alive. His great sacrifices for the country will always remain alive. Indeed, he was a great Freedom Fighter.

8. My favourite book

Everybody has a favourite book. I like the story of the fight between Duryodhan and Arjuna narrated in the Mahabharata.

This dialogue has been given in the Bhagwat Gita. The Bhagwat Gita is a holy book of the Hindus. It is said that Lord Krishna himself gave out the whole story.

A great battle was fought at Kurukshetra. It is said that Lord Krishna gave his support to the Pandavas. He was Arjuna ‘s chariot-driver.

First, Arjuna refused to fight against his own men. At this Lord Krishna made a long speech. Lord Krishna advised Arjuna to take heart.

He encouraged him to fight. Lord Krishna told him not to think of the result but he should go on doing his duty.

He also showed the real nature of the world to Arjuna. Thus Arjuna was convinced of the need to fight. He realised the nothingness of human life.

The Bhagwat Gita is a great book. Every Hindu worships and reads it. This book presents the basic principle of Indian philosophy.

It tells us that all questions regarding castes, races and religions are meaningless. It also say that all people are the children of God. A man must do his duty.

The Bhagwat Gita is a book of everlasting value; Every Indian finds hope and light in the pages. This book has been translated into all the great languages of the world I love this book.

I like to read it again and again. I worship it, too. It is the poetry of human life.

9. Role of Advertisement in our Life

Advertisement has become an important part of our daily lives. It is a form of persuasive communication.

It can be in form of commercials of television, radio advertisement or online advertisement. Companies use some of these methods to market their products and catch the audience’s attention y hidden messages.

Levi’s for example is a mark of clothing that became famous thanks to advertisements and has been advertised in different ways.

However, most commercials are not just simple marketing tools. They carry h Ads can provide rain and lead to socialism among people. Also, the freedom of commercials has crossed the lines and illustrates a wrong image of culture and region.

Furthermore, advertisers play with people’s minds especially females and take advantage of their naivety by lying to them.

Levi’s or Levi Strauss is a very large company known all over the world for its most significant product, clothes. It is especially famous for its various demine jeans. In order to establish it sells successfully, strategies to attract a wide audience are.

A big no. of principles concerning consumer behaviour have to be tickled and controlled. Apart from producing new serise of clothing for everybody, the company’s effective marketing techniques is the use of music.

The commercials run with a popular song in the background. All the songs are used for precise purposes. There are more things in advertisements to attract you to buy products from advertisements.

10. Need for Health Awareness

Health is wealth goes a proverb. Health is a real asset. We cannot do without a sound health, we cannot enjoy life.

To be healthy should be the topmost priority of every man. Sound health is all the more necessary because a sound mind resides in a sound body.

So there is a need of health awareness among the people. Some people go to the doctor for treatment when they suffer from some disease, but do not take care of their health before.

Had they taken care of their health before they would not to go to a doctor. Some people live properly and take every care to maintain sound health. They hardly visit a doctor or a hospital. They maintain good health.

There are so many diseases in the world. Most of them can be cured and prevented by creating health awareness among people.

Health awareness must be included in the educational curriculum. There are many tips about how to be healthy. By following those tips many diseases such as malaria, nervous disorder etc.

can be checked. Such tips are not only to read or should remain in books, but they must be practised. People should take regular exercise and control over lust or tongue.

We should not depend wholly on the government for the task of health awareness. It is the task of everybody to take the initiative of his own in the neighbourhood.

Some steps taken by an individual cannot do unless all residents of the mohalla or neighbourhood are voluntarily involved in them.

It is the duty of the people that they should make their friends and neighbours conscious of their health. It is needed much in the present time because these days medical treatment is so expensive that a common man hardly affords it.

Keeping the aforesaid in view we should be conscious of our health and follow the preventive and precautionary measures suggested for the same. These measures should be propagated among people. Only then we can be healthy and make a good saving of our earning and enjoy the life happily.

11. Students and Politics

Students are the future leaders, administrators and managers. Politics and politicians control the administrative reigns of the country.

One cannot be an ideal citizen without having political consciousness and understanding.

There has been a great controversy over the issue of students, taking part in politics, schools and colleges are the centres of learning.

Whatever students learn there is put to practice in later life when they shoulder the responsibilities of life.

Hence students, completely in difference and ignorance of political consciousness will put problems in their adult life. Such one-sided development of young men and women is not a good sign for the health of the nation.

The glorious role of students in the struggle for independence can’t be forgotten. They fought against imperialism and colonialism while they were still in schools and colleges.

The sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh and Ram Prasad Bismil will always be remembered. The constitution has granted the right to vote to all those who have completed eighteen years of age.

It will help a lot of students to exercise their votes in electing the representatives of the people. But students should not forget their main objectives and mission. Studies and learning must occupy the most important part of their mission.

Indulging in strikes, violence and disruptive activities should be completely given up. They should develop political consciousness rather than making themselves tools of wily politicians.

12. Price rise in India

The prices of essential commodities like gas, pulses, vegetables, etc. are going up day by day. An LPG cylinder now costs around Rs. 360.

Pulses are selling for around Rs. 50 per kg. Even such simple vegetables as potatoes and onions have gone beyond the range of the common man.

Things that were easily available in plenty and at very reasonable prices have suddenly disappeared from the market. The poor consumer is left at the mercy of traders and shopkeepers.

They charge anything they like from the helpless consumers. There is no one who can check this exploitation and profiteering. The government seems to be unconcerned about the problems being faced by the common man.

It is only such situations that lead to public unrest and ugly rioting situations. It is high time the government should take suitable measures to bring down the prices of essential commodities.

Strict action should be taken against hoarders and profiteers. There is no real dearth of anything in the market. It has only been created.

The government should not look the other way. It should be assured that people with get all essential commodities at reasonable prices. The public distribution system should be geared up.

When they are asked to write on a topic, they think about their ideas, improving their cognition. Then, they pen down those ideas on paper in short and simple sentences. Their basic grammar foundation strengthens in this way. The act of writing also helps develop your little one’s fine motor skills.

There are some key points your child needs to remember while writing an essay on health. Let us guide them stepwise in the journey to writing an essay on ‘Health is Wealth’:

  • In the first step, let your child imagine the ideas they want to write on the topic.
  • Let your child pen down the ideas, in the second step, to form an outline. It will help them to cover all the points while writing the paragraph.
  • Next, guide your child to form easy-to-read short and simple sentences from the outline.
  • Motivate your child not to get too deep describing any single idea. It will help them stick to the word limit.
  • Help your child write with the flow. That will make them cherish writing the essay.
  • Your child can mention the importance of health, what can one do to maintain good health, the consequences of not staying healthy, etc.

Health is a vital factor in our life, and the earlier we realise that, the better it is. Let us guide your child to write 10 lines on ‘health is wealth’ for class 1 and class 2 –

  • Health is the most important thing in our life.
  • Health is true wealth, and is more important than money!
  • Staying healthy means having a fit body and mind.
  • We should take care of our health every day.
  • To stay healthy, we should exercise.
  • For a healthy mind, we should meditate.
  • We should eat nutritious food.
  • We should avoid all kinds of packaged and junk foods even if they are tasty.
  • We should drink a lot of water.
  • We must take care of our health and only then will we be able to enjoy life.

When children understand the importance of health at an early stage, they are encouraged to adopt healthy habits since childhood. Writing about this in a small paragraph can be a challenge for young children. Let us help your child write a short essay on Health is Wealth essay in 200 to 250 words:

‘Health is Wealth’ is a popular proverb. It is very true because we must have good health to enjoy life. If we are not healthy, we won’t be able to do anything. We must stay healthy to have fun in life. We have to take care of our physical health and our mental health. Only then can we be truly healthy. To maintain good health, we must exercise regularly, eat healthy food, drink a lot of water, and stay active. Only if we practise this regularly, can we stay healthy. We also need to meditate and think positively to keep our minds healthy. Both our body and mind play equally important roles in keeping us healthy. We must also know about some other factors that affect our health. We should avoid packaged and junk food. We must eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. We should also keep ourselves and our surroundings clean. Along with other things, a proper amount of rest is also important to stay healthy. We must sleep for 7-8 hours every night. We can stay healthy when we follow all these things together.

As children grow older, they are expected to write their ideas more articulately. They will have to express their thoughts in detail, supporting the points they write about the importance of health. Let us help your child write an interesting essay on ‘health is wealth’ for class 3:

‘Health is Wealth’ is a very important proverb. We should always remember this, and it should be our mantra in life. True wealth is our health and not money or properties. We may be extremely rich, have a good job or business, and own huge houses and lands, but all of it becomes meaningless if we don’t have good health. Only if we are fit and healthy can we enjoy life. Good health helps us make efforts and work hard. We can also help others. For all aspects of life, we need to stay healthy.

Staying healthy means being both physically and mentally fit. To stay physically fit, we must exercise and remain physically active. To stay mentally healthy, we should meditate and think positively in every situation. Our food habits also play a very important role in maintaining good health. We should eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Drinking adequate water is also very important. It will strengthen our immunity and make us strong. We should avoid packaged foods. They are loaded with chemicals. We should also avoid junk food. They do not give us any nutrition and cause health problems like diabetes and obesity. Instead, we must eat homemade food full of nutrition. They are always wholesome and hygienic and help us remain fit and healthy.

Health is similar to money, in the sense that we understand the true value of it only after we lose it. We can’t get back the money once lost. Luckily, we can get back our health if we work on it. We have to make an effort to stay healthy. Being active is very important. It is also important that we rest, but laziness is our enemy. So we should know when we are resting or relaxing and when we are being lazy. We need a sound sleep for 7-8 hours every night, preferably at a fixed time. Spending too much time on phones or any other gadget is also not good for our health. Sitting in front of a screen will affect both our body and mind negatively. So, it is important that we limit the use of gadgets and instead play outdoor games with our friends under the open skies. The refreshing fresh air and physical activity act as a treat for our mind and body.

Cleanliness also plays an important role to keep us healthy. We should keep ourselves and our surroundings clean and hygienic. Having a proper bath every day, brushing our teeth twice a day, and washing our mouth after eating food are important daily practices. We should also wash our hands and feet whenever we return home from outside. All these habits together lead to good health. We must stick to these practices with consistency and discipline. These steps will also help us stay healthy in old age. Our body and our mind will be our companions throughout life. So we should take care of them to be happy.

When your child writes a composition on health, they realise the value of staying healthy. They become aware of the practices they should embrace to stay healthy. When good habits are formed at a tender age, they stay even after your child grows up. Essay writing will help improve your little one’s creative writing skills. It will also increase their vocabulary.

We hope the above examples will help your child frame a beautiful composition on ‘Health is Wealth’. It will help your child expand their ideas and write a paragraph on their own. Your little one will also realise the importance of health through the process of reading and writing the essay.

CBSE Class 12th exams: Review by students of Ludhiana

Jaswinder Kaur, Business Studies teacher at Gurunanak Public School (GNPS), said that the exam was well balanced and students could complete it on time. "Though the paper was a bit lengthy, students came out of the examination hall happy as it was their last exam", she added.

Noorpreet Kaur, Business Studies student, said apart from case studies, rest of the paper was easy.

Another student, Kulbir Singh, who expects more than 72 marks in the exam said, "The exam was a little lengthy but easy to solve and many of the questions were direct."

Roopam Gupta, Head of the Commerce Department said that the paper was expected and of moderate level.

CBSE Class 12th Business Studies paper review: Well balanced paper, says teacher

In perfect synch with the prescribed CBSE syllabus, the Business Studies paper covered all the topics and sub-topics of the syllabus, ensuring that the students who had studied comprehensively were duly rewarded and felt satisfied.

The paper, at first glance, appears to be very simple. However, when one dives deep into it, a student might feel over-confident, and the possibility of making careless mistakes cannot be overlooked.

When we teachers guide the students about how they should write the answers, we also tell them that keeping a calm and focused mind will reap rich dividends and either way, the student must not lose focus.

The MCQs in the question paper were balanced and posed only a little challenge to a well-prepared student. The “Assertion and Reasoning” based questions were also interesting and easy to crack.

Despite simplicity being the hallmark of today’s paper, it did test students on their skills of creative and analytical thinking.

The case studies in the paper were from a vast range of topics from Finance to Consumer protection and from Principles of management to Marketing.

If simplicity was the beauty of the paper, the well-balanced coverage of all the topics was the cherry on the pie.
