Going out on a summer day can seem extremely difficult, especially in the afternoons. One can easily be exposed to the sun and get a heat stroke. The hot winds (loo) can also be dangerous if one stays out for too long.

Getting sunburns on one’s skin is also common in summer. One can make the heat of the summer months tolerable by following some of the points given below:

  • Hydration is critical during the summer season. To hydrate oneself means to drink enough water. One should drink water even if they are not thirsty. Drinking fruit juices will also help.
  • One should wear clothes that are suitable to handle hot weather. Our dress should be loosely fitted and light. We should prefer wearing cotton clothes as they help our skin to breathe.
  • We should go out only in the mornings and evenings. Outdoor activity during the day should be limited. Even if we go out, we should try staying in the shady areas.
  • Wearing sunscreen on summer days is a must. Since our skin can get sunburns quickly, we should use a generous amount of sunscreen.
  • Eating light meals will help us stay light in the summer. Large meals require a lot of energy to digest.
  • Carrying a wet towel with us if we go outside can be helpful. We can wipe our face or neck on it.
  • Exercise and other physical activities should be carried out very early in the morning or in the evening. The same goes for shopping, buying groceries, etc.

Summer season essay

Falling after the Holi festival in India, the summer season is followed by rain. In places such as India, there might often be thunderstorms as well during the season.

Although there are similarities in how the season comes upon us, the ways people experience summer and the difficulties it brings can be different for different people. For example, the summer can bring about droughts for people of rural areas, where the land and water resources dry up. There is no water left in the rivers, wells, and canals. People have to walk or travel a considerable distance to get access to water.

There are also people who cannot afford electric fans or air conditioners. Summers can be highly unbearable for them.

Trees also face dehydration which results in loss of leaves. Birds and animals as well go through hardships due to the scarcity of water. If we can, we should try to provide water to stray animals and keep water bowls for birds.

Summer is the hottest season of the year and a time for vacations and breaks when people go to cooler places and have fun. Kids look forward to summer every year for the two-month-long vacation they get and all the fun they can have with their family and friends. After the school reopens after the summer vacation, the first thing teachers ask students is to describe their summer vacation. Students are asked to write an essay on this topic, talking about their experiences. We have put together a few sample essays on the summer season for students of classes 1, 2 and 3 in one-line, short and long format.

Summer is usually an interesting topic for children since they get to enjoy so much during this time. Here are some important tips for writing an essay on the summer season:

  • Gather important facts about summer such as the duration in months, average temperatures, seasonal fruits and activities, etc.
  • Ten-line articles can be written as a mix of facts and your children’s favourite thing about summers.
  • A paragraph on the summer season should start with an introduction and end with concluding lines.
  • Long essays can go deeper into the science of summer months and other important facts.

Ten-line essays on the summer season can be composed like a fun write-up. Here is an example of a summer essay for classes 1 & 2:

  • Summer is one of the four seasons we have in India. It starts in the last week of March and ends by the first week of June.
  • During the summer the temperature gets very hot.
  • The sky is clear during summer, with a little breeze in the evenings on some days.
  • The summer is my favourite season as we get a long two-month holiday.
  • I like to visit my grandparents during the summer in our native village.
  • We play all day long without thinking about school during the summer holidays.
  • Summers are also the best time to go on a vacation to cooler places.
  • I enjoy drinking cool lemonade and coconut water during summer.
  • A light breeze, especially in gardens where there are lots of trees, is the best feeling during this season.
  • Overall, summer is an amazing and fun season for all unique activities.

Short paragraphs are a good place to start essay writing for kids. Here is how to write a paragraph on the summer season for lower primary school:

Summer is the season between March and June. It is the hot season when temperatures soar all around the country. The summer season is when the days are longer and nights are shorter. People spend their time going on vacations to beaches and cooler destinations during summer to escape the heat. Schools and colleges have long holidays for two months at a stretch. Children often visit their friends and relatives who live in other cities or towns during the summer months. Although the days get hotter, people enjoy doing lots of different activities. Summer is my favourite season as the fun never ends during ur long vacation!

Learning how to write short essays builds the necessary skills to write long essays later. Here is an example of a short essay on summer:

Summer is one of the four distinct seasons in India. It starts after spring in March and peaks by the end of April. Summer ends as the monsoon clouds start rolling in by the first week of June. The summer is the hottest season throughout the country, with temperatures in most parts averaging over 35 degrees Celsius. In the hottest areas of the country, the temperature can go above 45 degrees!

Most families take a vacation to their native place or cooler destinations to beat the heat in the summer months. Children have long holidays, and they often visit their relatives during these months. Summer camps are frequently held across cities and suburban areas for children who want to engage in fun activities.

The summer months are fun for most people as this is also when delicious tropical fruits such as mangoes and watermelons are available. To sum it up, summers are fun as there is so much to enjoy during this season.

A long descriptive essay on the summer season is a challenging exercise for the students of lower primary classes. It should have good facts and plenty of original ideas to impress the readers. Here is an example of an essay:

The summer is the hottest of all seasons in the country, which falls between March and June. During these months, the daily temperature can go higher than 35 degrees and even peak at 45 in some places. Change in seasons occurs due to the tilt of the Earth’s axis. When the Earth goes around the sun, different parts of the planet face the sun at different angles. This leads to more heating at one place and less heating at the other. Thus, different parts of the world can experience different seasons at the same time.

During the seasons leading up to summer, the lack of rains causes depletion of water in the rivers, lakes and reservoirs. The summer heat causes more evaporation and can lead to draughts in some parts of India. The water is replenished once the monsoon starts in July. The summer weather in most parts of the country is hot and dry. It can also get humid in some parts of the country. The greener areas sometimes experience thundershowers in the evenings on long summer days.

During summers, people in the city resort to different methods to beat the summer heat. Schools and colleges have long vacations to allow students to unwind from the academic year and relax at home. Families take vacations to hilly regions of the countries and coastal destinations to have fun and enjoy the cool weather.

Summer is a great season for all as it is the time for breaks and vacations. People also love summers for the seasonal treats in the form of ice cream and cold drinks and delicious seasonal fruits like mangoes and watermelon.

Your child will learn plenty of facts about summers from the examples mentioned above. The essay presented here act as a good guide to children. Students can pick up important facts about the summer season and learn how to write their essays from the ideas mentioned above. The examples given here are suitable for tests and assignments for children in the lower primary grades.

My Favourite Season Summer Essay

We appreciate and savour many things during the summer. We like extended vacation time in the summer. We enjoy our time with our family and friends during the summer holidays. Here are a few sample essays on the topic ‘My Favourite Season Summer’.

100 Words Essay On My Favourite Season Summer

Summer is the hottest time of the year but it’s also one of my favourite seasons. Beginning of the summer ignites a sense of hope and opportunity for me and makes me feel like I can achieve all my goals. The days are longer, and the nights are shorter throughout the summer and gives you all the more time to work and play. The sun shines brightly, and the sky becomes clearer.

My Favourite Season Summer Essay

Fruits and vegetables come in a variety during the summer, I especially look forward to mangoes and lychees. Farmers also prepare their fields for agriculture during the summer months for different vegetables and fruits.

200 Words Essay On My Favourite Season Summer

India has a wide range of climatic conditions. The locals take pleasure in the qualities of the many seasons. Every season has its unique qualities. But summer is my favourite season among the other seasons and I eagerly anticipate its arrival. Typically, the summer season begins in April and lasts through June. Although summer is the hottest season, I adore it very much. We have long summer vacations throughout the season and many festive holidays, which is my favourite part about the summers.

Long Summer Vacation | We have a two-month summer break from school during summers and that is why I adore this season so much. During the summer break, we are free from the school's everyday activities and work. By letting go of the pressure of regular homework and studies, we can eat, sleep, and play with friends.

Fun Activities During The Evening | Summer is a great season to train for a variety of sports and competitions. Summertime brings an increase in outdoor activities. I'm always eager to play different sports and games in the evening, and I end up spending the majority of my time with my friends. I make it a point of taking part in different sports, clubs and hobbies including swimming and dancing and horse riding. I love the summertime.

500 Words Essay On My Favourite Season Summer

Summer is my favourite season. Everyone, including me, has a favourite time of year. Everyone has a break from school during summers, so we enjoy the long holidays. Another factor that makes summer my favourite season is that I get to taste cold beverages and delicious ice creams. During this season, we have access to a vast range of food items. We also have access to great mangoes during the summer. Mangoes are my favourite fruit.

Thus summers generally make me happier. We appreciate and savour many things during the summer. I enjoy my time with my family and friends during the summer holidays. We even take family vacations when we are all free and wish to escape the heat. Even if it's just a short trip, I look forward to them every year because I get to bond with my family members. I also love to participate in various summertime activities like summer camps, cycling, swimming, and more. Summers have always been my favourite season since they are so thrilling and full of possibilities.

The Specialty Of Summer Season

  • The days are long, and the nights are short throughout the summer. The days are bright and sunny. In the summer, we can completely unwind in the afternoon.

During the summer, the water parks are constantly crowded with visitors who want to cool off and have fun. In the summer, I enjoy swimming in the pools because it makes me feel liberated. Moreover, I get to consume various different cuisines during the summer.

Fresh cucumbers, enormous watermelons, delicious oranges, sweet guavas, nourishing muskmelons, and other fruits are available in the summer season.

Summer clothes that are so colourful and floral are undoubtedly another summertime specialty. To fully enjoy the summer, people like to dress in shorts, dresses, sleeveless shirts, and other items.

The summer months are crowded with people visiting the hill stations to escape the heat.

I, therefore, appreciate summer even more as a result of all these specialties. My relatives have a small farm within a few hours drive where we go every summer to spend time and taste the delicious fruits. They always serve the best mango juice, and I was amazed at how fresh the juice was and how it tasted so good. This also makes the summer season special. During summer vacation, I usually spend time with my family, and we all go to the garden and parks on the weekend for a picnic and take fresh air under trees.

But summer time is also quite dangerous since hot air blows during the day, which can also make us ill. People also became dehydrated. People can also suffer from burns to the skin. In the summer, all of the water in the reservoirs evaporates resulting in scarcity in some areas.

Nonetheless, summer is my favourite season because everything is so fantastic and vibrant. Even the fruits and vegetables we receive are so vibrantly coloured which is a sight to behold. Children who attend school appreciate the summer more since it gives them more time to play and unwind. The summers are pleasant, warm, and sunny.

About Serial Season 4

Right after Sept. 11, the United States created a brand-new criminal justice system at Guantánamo Bay. It was a prison and a court designed to deal with the people we had captured whom we suspected of being members of the Taliban or al Qaeda.

But to do what we wanted to do at Guantánamo — to interrogate detainees the way we wanted, to hold them indefinitely without charging them with a crime — we had to push aside the old, time-tested rules for detaining prisoners of war. And the consequences of that fell on ordinary people: thousands of military personnel, hundreds of prisoners, everybody scrambling through the same experiment.

There has been great journalism about the legal maneuvering to justify Guantánamo, and about the detainee abuse and the politics and policy. But “Serial” reporters Sarah Koenig and Dana Chivvis were after the inside stories, a picture of Guantánamo you could get only from the people who went through it. For years, though, all the best stories they heard about Guantánamo were off the record. But they stuck with it, figuring maybe once enough people were back in civilian life they’d be willing to tell those stories on the record. A couple of years ago, the “Serial” team started contacting people again: guards, interrogators, commanders, lawyers, chaplains, translators and former prisoners. More than a hundred people. And a remarkable number of them said: Okay, I’m ready. Here’s what happened.

“Serial” Season 4 is a history of Guantánamo told by people who lived through key moments in its evolution, who know things the rest of us don’t about what it’s like to be caught inside an improvised justice system.

serial

Serial is a podcast from the creators of This American Life, hosted by Sarah Koenig. Serial tells one story — a true story — over the course of a season.

A high-school senior named Hae Min Lee disappeared one day after school in 1999, in Baltimore County, Maryland. A month later, her body was found in a city park. She'd been strangled. Her 17-year-old ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, was arrested for the crime, and within a year, he was sentenced to life in prison.

In May 2014, a U.S. Special Operations team in a Black Hawk helicopter landed in the hills of Afghanistan. Waiting for them were more than a dozen Taliban fighters and a tall American, who looked pale and out of sorts: Bowe Bergdahl. Bergdahl, a U.S. soldier, had been a prisoner of the Taliban for nearly five years, and now he was going home. Learn more

“Serial” is heading back to court. This time, in Cleveland. Not for one extraordinary case; instead, Serial wanted to tackle the whole criminal justice system. To do that we figured we’d need to look at something different: ordinary cases. So we did. Inside these ordinary cases we found the troubling machinery of the criminal justice system on full display.
