Our material is kept up to date with the current framework and curriculum. Our Free e-learning portal will allow students, teachers and parents to access our material at home, at school, or on the go. The portal facilitates different learning styles with a varied use of media. Children can learn at their own pace in the comfort of their home, at school with their teacher, or even on the go using our mobile app.

SEA Practice Tests Textbooks

Our pair of SEA Practice Tests Textbooks adhere to the assessment framework for the Secondary Entrance Examination (2019-2023). The SEA Language Arts and Writing Practice Test book consists of twelve English Language Arts and ELA Writing papers each. There is a total of 36 ELA Writing topics covering both narrative and report writing. A prewriting organiser is included with each test. The SEA Mathematics Practice Test book consists of twelve Mathematics papers. These books offer learners the necessary practice to achieve their full potential.

Our SEA Prep Workshops are geared toward Standard 4 and 5 students and cover all aspects of the curriculum. Our dedicated and experienced tutors use original and engaging material. We use a small student to tutor ratio so we are able to assess the needs of each student and provide a level of individual attention. After all, our mission at Aleph Educators is “helping others achieve!”

SEA 2019 – 2023 Framework

The Revised Assessment Framework for the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) 2021-2023 specifies the proposed purpose, components, format and content of the SEA. The revised guidelines acknowledge the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic measures on the education system and propose several adjustments to the framework in terms of content and/or the number of test items.

This document clearly identifies the:

* purpose of the SEA

* subjects to be tested

* duration of the different papers

* objectives that are related to each subject

* thinking processes that underlie each objective

* distribution of marks by test items

SEA Mathematics Tutorials

The SEA exam assesses mathematical thinking processes such as knowing, applying and reasoning within each of four strands of the MOE’s 2019 – 2023 framework.

Our SEA mathematics video tutorials cover these four strands which are Number, Measurement, Geometry and Statistics.

The book covers the four strands of the 2019-2023 syllabus which are Number, Measurement, Geometry and Statistics.

Our approach to teaching these concepts is through micro-learning which allows the child to learn step by step, leading them to the correct answer.

English Language Arts Video Tutorials

Our tutorials provide clear understandable lessons to improve your child’s English writing skills.

Students will learn the proper use of parts of speech, nouns, verbs, adjectives, pronouns, adverbs, prepositions and conjunctions.

The video tutorials guide your child through the necessary steps for report writing, reflective writing, descriptive/narrative descriptive writing and expository writing.

These tutorials go hand in hand with the SEA creative writing textbook, the JJ and Friends checklist, the MAP DOTS chart and the learn chart.

Our Creative writing checklist allows the child to be aware of what is required for a complete, well-written essay.

Within the tutorials, are essays that have been analysed and scored for illustrative purposes.

Creative Writing Book

The JJ and Friends SEA Success Series Creative Writing book goes along with the JJ and Friends SEA Success Series Creative Writing tutorials and teaches your child how to successfully write these essay types through detailed step by step instruction.

Children are taught how to effectively organise ideas, express written ideas clearly and coherently generate a variety of sentence types and demonstrate the accurate use of grammar, spelling and mechanics.

This book is also accompanied by the JJ and friends checklist, the MAP DOTS chart and learn chart.

The book contains a checklist per writing style, written in line with the ELA writing rubric, 2019-2023, that allows the child to become familiar with the requirements needed for achieving a complete, well-written essay.

Learn Chart

The JJ and Friends Learn Chart presents a description of various writing styles.

Knowing the difference between the various writing styles allows your child to effectively execute the requirements for each.

Wall Charts are a great way of helping your child grasp key concepts and encourage learning beyond the classroom.

M.A.P.D.O.T.S Chart

Map Dots is a mnemonic device created by JJ and Friends to aid in remembering various literary devices.

The use of a wall chart provides information in a concise, easily digestible manner.

SEA Comprehension Tutorials

Our SEA comprehension tutorials were written with the exact specificity towards the thinking processes assessed in the SEA exam.
