Freshman Applicants

Welcome high schoolers! A quick note: these steps are designed for current high school seniors, but that doesn't mean you can't get familiar with the application process.

We make decisions on a rolling basis.

CUNY Application Requirements

Recommended application materials.

After you submit your completed application, the admissions review process begins. Mailed documents should be submitted to the University Application Processing Center (UAPC) with  your CUNYfirst ID#  to the following address: CUNY/UAPC P.O. Box 350136 Brooklyn, NY 11235

Admissions Decisions

Decisions are e-mailed on a rolling basis after the priority deadline. We examine your entire high school academic records, including difficulty of classes, GPA and grade trends. We also look at the strength of your standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, NY State Regents) and any additional supporting documents including the recommended essay, and letters of recommendation. Applications submitted after the priority deadline will be considered on a space available basis. You can check the status of your application by logging into your  CUNYfirst account  and selecting 'Student Center' then 'Admissions' then 'View Details.' You can also call the CUNY Welcome Center at  (212) 997-2869.

For further information, see CUNY's information on admission decisions here.

Macaulay Honors Program

Fall Deadline (no early decision or action) >> December 2, 2019 at 6:00 PM (EST).

Two-step notification process:

1) Beginning in mid-February applicants will be notified of their admission decision as General Freshman by all college choices listed on their application.

2) March 16 – Macaulay applicants will be notified of their admission decision into Macaulay Honors College by only one of the college choices listed on their application.

The  Macaulay Honors College  application is available online. The Macaulay application requires  test scores, two essays  and  two letters of recommendation.  If Baruch is your first choice for honors, make sure to list it as such on your application.

Students applying to Macaulay may also be considered for the Baruch Honors program and other merit-based scholarships. For more information please visit:  Baruch Honors.

International Students

The deadlines we have listed for the CUNY applications are Priority Deadlines for applicants within the United States. We suggest international students have their applications completed and sent in at least 4 weeks prior to the deadline. Applications will not be processed until all required documents have been received. Please refer to the  following site  for specific instructions. If you have graduated from a high school/secondary school outside the U.S. not listed above, you are required to submit your complete academic record (all years), as well as any national or government certificates earned. We accept photocopies of secondary school transcripts, diplomas, mark sheets and/or secondary external examination certificates. Please review the list of  Required Secondary School Credentials.

SEEK Program

The  Percy Ellis Sutton SEEK  (Search for Education Elevation and Knowledge) Program provides economically disadvantaged students with the tools they need to create their own success: to graduate and pursue fulfilling and productive lives, to develop an awareness of themselves and a sense of dedication to their community.

In order to be considered, students must indicate their interest in SEEK on the Freshman application. If academic requirements are met, applicants will be asked to submit supporting documents to prove financial eligibility. Refer to the following site for  eligibility requirements.

Update on Fall 2021 Schedule

June 17, 2021

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

As you may have heard, Baruch College recently shifted course modalities (online, hybrid, in-person) for about 15 percent of our scheduled sections this fall. These changes follow guidance from CUNY and reflect significant improvement in pandemic conditions, allowing for a greater on-campus presence and giving us the ability to leverage the benefits of a reopening NYC.

Mindful of the need for students and faculty to make plans for the coming semester, I would like to assure you that we do not anticipate any further large-scale shifts in the course schedule or in the modalities of scheduled sections.

What You Need to Know

  • Students: Earlier this week, students whose schedules were affected received a message from me titled Course Modality Changes . It includes a video on how to check your course schedule in CUNYfirst and other helpful links.
  • Faculty: Your dean or department chair has reached out directly to let you know if your course modality has changed. If it has, please contact the students on your roster with details regarding in-person dates and accommodations.

Stay Informed: I encourage you to check Baruch Forward, our one-stop Safe Campus Reopening Hub, for the latest news and resources.

Meeting Your Needs

While we understand that these course-modality changes may introduce scheduling challenges for some students, we are confident there is sufficient time to find viable options before the start of the semester.

We are grateful for your patience and understanding as we navigate through uncharted territory together. I wish you the best for the summer and look forward to seeing you on campus in August!

Myung-Soo Lee Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs

baruch college application deadline fall 2021

College Now is a collaborative effort between the City University of New York (CUNY) and the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) to improve NYC public high school students’ academic achievement.

For more information on these differences and post-secondary outcomes on each program, check out the following article:  Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment: What’s a student to choose?

Conversation Partners Program

At the same time, both native and nonnative English speakers will expand their cultural knowledge, make friends, and build a network of professional contacts through their interactions with their conversation partners as well as at the events that CPP hosts. Both the conversations and events facilitate intercultural interaction and learning within the Baruch and CPP community.

Leadership Development and Service

Serving 200-300 Baruch students each semester, student leaders holding e-board positions and managing different committees (events, marketing, public relations, and pair matching) work with the Program Director and faculty advisors to bring to Baruch the benefits CPP aims to provide.

As a student coordinator in the program, you will develop interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, and technical skills while learning how to take initiative, how to manage a group, and be accountable. As a student coordinator, you get to explore your leadership style and what works best for you when leading a group. You will also be empowered to make decisions related to your CPP functions and to be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the successful execution of key program functions. You will find such an experience helpful as you grow and develop to become a better leader.

CPP leadership positions (a student may hold two positions concurrently):

  • Vice President
  • Events Coordinator/ Chair of Events Committee
  • Marketing Coordinator/ Chair of Marketing Committee
  • Pair Matching Coordinator/ Chair of Pair Matching Committee
  • Public Relations Coordinator/ Chair of Public Relations Committee
