Sample Answers for January to April Cue Card 2022

#1. talk about a difficult decision that you once made.

Decisions are the most challenging yet wonderful part of our lives as the decisions decide the future. Everyone has to make multiple decisions every day. People take huge decisions with time and patience but don’t realize that the small decisions are the most important as they can impact largely.

I will discuss a difficult decision that I made when I was in school. It was difficult because of the norms of society. The difficulty was to let the people understand what was happening. When I was studying in 11th standard, I used to be bullied and mentally harassed by a boy.

He used to make comments on me which continuously increased because of my ignorance. I thought that if I ignored him, he would stop making comments and doing his activities but I was wrong. The patriarchal society’s mindset is to think that girls are subservient to boys or women are inferior to men which makes them hard to believe that a boy has done wrong or maybe, the mindset is that the girl must be preventive but the males can do whatever they want.

I took a difficult decision to stand by my courage and stand against his ridiculous activities. I told my parents and the principal to take action. It was difficult for me to let them take my side but I managed to do it. This experience has made me brave and self-confident.

#2. Describe a Cafe that You Like to Visit

I like to visit a cafe near my home. It is called Flashback. It is a great cafe with an attractive interior design and amazingly delicious food. The best part about this cafe is their service. They offer the most wonderful service. The music and lighting in the cafe is the icing on the cake as it adds beauty to the spectacular infrastructure of the cafe.

They offer snacks, food, drinks, beverages, and bakeries. It is great to sit there and enjoy food with friends, family, or even enjoy our own company with the soothing music, eye-catching view, and delicious food. The cafe has a stupendously designed wall where the visitors can write and paste their experiences.

The owner of the cafe posts experiences of the visitors on his social media account. The price of the meals is quite affordable for every person. I like the cafe very much and quite often visit there to have fun, make memories, and enjoy.
