Google Bard, an experimental AI chatbot, is less optimistic about Shiba Inu’s chances of reaching $0.01 soon. Initially dismissing the possibility of such a price prediction within our lifetime, Google Bard reluctantly offered a projection of 2100, approximately 76 years from now. It clarified that this projection was not based on informed analysis but rather the closest year it could come up with given the perceived improbability of the $0.01 goal.

ChatGPT’s take

ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, also weighed in on the discussion. While it emphasized that predicting cryptocurrency prices is outside of its capabilities, a jailbroken version of ChatGPT ventured a more optimistic projection. This significant surge would result in a market capitalization of $5.89 trillion, assuming its supply remains constant.

While Changelly’s research team anticipates a longer timeline, with 2050 as their projected year for SHIB to hit $0.01, Google Bard remains skeptical, suggesting a date as distant as 2100. We conducted our most recent survey in January 2024 in which 13 crypto industry specialists shared their thoughts on how shiba inu (SHIB) would perform through 2030, while 30 panelists shared their thoughts on whether it's time to buy, hold or sell SHIB.

All prices mentioned in this report are denominated in US dollars.

On average, our panelists think shiba inu (SHIB) will be worth $0.00001 by 2024 before rising to $0.000025 by 2025 and $0.000045 by 2030.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) price predictions for 2024, 2025 and 2030

On average, our panelists think SHIB will be worth $0.00001 by year-end 2024, which is only 11% higher than the asset's price at the time of writing — $0.000009.

Our panelists also predict that SHIB will rise to $0.000025 by year-end 2025 and $0.000045 by year-end 2030, which is, respectively, 177% and 400% higher than its current price.

These aren't very large price increases for an asset that has historically increased in value by almost 560% in a month.

"SHIB is an asset whose future price is basically impossible to predict," explains Daniel Polotsky, founder and chairman of CoinFlip. "It's all based on narratives/vibes and the dog coin mania that DOGE unleashed. SHIB doesn't have an established use case in crypto besides being a fun project. I would proceed with caution and only invest what you're willing to lose."

Dimitrios Salampasis, Senior Lecturer for Emerging Technologies and FinTech at Swinburne University of Technology, echoed Polotsky's sentiment.

"The Shiba Inu Coin is a meme-inspired cryptocurrency lacking a specific purpose or use case," shares Salampasis. "It does not solve any problem, and it does not provide any unique functionalities. Shiba Inu Coin's value is solely driven by speculative trading and social media trends."

Mitesh Shah, founder and CEO of Omnia Markets, Inc., believes that SHIB's price is driven by investors looking for higher returns once the price of bitcoin (BTC) pumps after the Bitcoin halving.

"Historically, previous Bitcoin halvings have coincided with increased interest in altcoins as investors and newcomers opt to add lower-priced assets to their portfolios in hopes that they boom along with the general market," shares Shah. "I believe both DOGE and SHIB may experience the same trends as the reduced supply in Bitcoin, along with [its] expected price increase, will lead investors to explore alternative options, driving capital into altcoins."

But not all of our panelists feel that the price of SHIB will pump just because of speculation.

"My point of view is optimistic regarding Shiba Inu's future price trajectory," begins Samy Ben Bahmed, manager at Sastanaqqam. "I base this on the expectation of increasing utility and adoption of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, which could drive demand and consequently the price. Furthermore, the growing interest in decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), primarily hosted on the Ethereum blockchain, which shiba inu leverages, could positively impact its value."

Is now the time to buy, hold or sell shiba inu (SHIB)?

Half of our panelists feel that it's time to hold SHIB.

Just under one-third (30%) think it's time to sell SHIB, while one-fifth say it's time to buy the digital asset.

"The price trend of SHIB may be highly correlated with the price trend of ETH," explains Chen. "In addition, whether Shibarium (a Layer 2 Ethereum network) can truly establish its own DeFi and GameFi ecology is also a key factor for the token to emerge from the independent market."

Nisheta Sachdev, Managing Director at Luna Media Corporation, also says SHIB is a "hold."

"It's a strong competitor to DOGE, but [it] lacks [a] use case," shares Sachdev.

Josh Fraser, cofounder of Origin Protocol, says it's time to sell SHIB.

"It's difficult to say whether SHIB has staying power in the meme coin sector," shares Fraser. "We've seen newer meme coins take a lot of market share from SHIB, and this trend is likely to continue."

John Hawkins, Senior Lecturer at the University of Canberra, also says it's time to sell your SHIB.

"This is another coin with no use," deadpans Hawkins.

Shubham Munde, Senior Market Research Analyst at Market Research Future, is more optimistic. He says SHIB is a "buy".

"The community is actively developing utility for its token, and that initiative could boost the prices," claims Munde.

Panelists can answer as many or as few questions as they like, meaning the number of responses received varies by question. 13 panelists gave their price prediction for SHIB by year-end 2024, 2025 and 2030. Market experts have disclosed what they believe the price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) will be by the end of this year.

Shiba Inu remains one of the most popular cryptocurrencies in the market, with multiple speculations on what its price will be at different times in the future.

Of the many indices that point to the likelihood of Shiba Inu maintaining its current bullish run and hitting new milestones include its strong correlation with Bitcoin coming in at 0.92.

This correlation might help Shiba Inu trail a similar growth path to Bitcoin, the premier asset currently trading at its All-Time High (ATH) above $72,000.

For now, the primary focus of the Shib Army is to outrank Dogecoin (DOGE) and breach multiple pivotal milestones in the long term. Here’s what experts think 2024 holds for SHIB.

Shiba Inu’s Projected Target For 2024

Drawing insights from two experts, Shiba Inu is likely to trade between two extremes with a positive and negative twist to the price trend.

Alexander Kuptsikevich, a Senior Market Researcher at FxPro believes Shiba Inu has what it takes not just to retest its ATH of $0.00008845 but to also erase one zero to trade as high as $0.0001 by year-end.

Alexander noted that while Shiba Inu is not likely to trade as high as it did in the 2021 market cycle, “it can ride the future waves of the crypto market.”

Finder, a coalition of industry experts, is not as optimistic about the future price of SHIB. The platform pegged the year-end target for Shiba Inu at $0.00001, meaning the digital currency is on track to plummet by about 34.26% from its current price of $0.00003426.

Counterbalancing SHIB Predictions

In addition, Finder noted that it anticipates the price of SHIB to drop as low as $0.000025 by 2025 with a mildly optimistic target of $0.000045 by 2030.

However, unlike Finder, other analytics platforms like Changelly are more bullish with the projection that SHIB will rather trade at a maximum price of $0.0005789421 by 2030

But DigitalCoinPrice has predicted that there would be an increase in the price of the cryptocurrency and would see a jump by the end of 2021 to USD 0.000044.

Gov Capital has predicted that Shiba Inu Coin would see a huge drop falling to USD 0.000006.

Crypto expert Rekt Capital has suggested that Shiba Inu (SHIB) could follow a similar trajectory to its move back in 2021. If so, this sets up the crypto token for a parabolic move that could see it hit its all-time high (ATH) and even surpass it. 

2024 Shiba Inu To Mirror 2021 Action

Rekt Capital mentioned in an X (formerly Twitter) post that SHIB’s retest was successful and that history was repeating itself. According to him, SHIB needs to break above the $0.000033285 price range to begin its uptrend continuation. In a previous post, the crypto analyst raised the possibility of SHIB’s price action mirroring the one from 2021. 

He noted how SHIB came close to that price range but couldn’t break this resistance level. This was the same thing in late 2021, as Shiba Inu didn’t break that resistance level on the first attempt. That forced the meme coin to retest the $0.000026041 price level as a new support before confirming further upside. 

This time, Shiba Inu also retested that $0.000026041 price level during its recent price dip, which was partly caused by a wave of profit-taking. The meme coin showed great resolve and somehow managed to hold above that level, and it has since made a good recovery. 

Now, it needs to break above the $0.000033285 price range to confirm that history is repeating itself and that a price surge to the one in 2021 is on the horizon. 2021 was SHIB’s breakout year when it enjoyed a mouth-watering gain of 46,000,000% on its way to an ATH of $0.00008845 in October 2021. 

Analysts Optimistic About Shiba Inu’s Future Trajectory

Rekt Capital isn’t the only one optimistic about SHIB’s future trajectory. Crypto analyst and trader Xanrox recently predicted that SHIB could rise to $0.00008854 by July, representing a new ATH for the meme coin. Interestingly, that looks to be only the starting point for the meme coin, as other analysts have predicted that SHIB could shed another zero. 

One of them is crypto investor and analyst Oscar Ramos, who expressed his bullish sentiment about the meme coin when he predicted it could rise to $0.0001. Technical analyst Javon Marks also echoed similar sentiments when he suggested that SHIB could rise to as high as $0.0001553. 

Meanwhile, crypto analyst Ali Martinez once suggested that SHIB’s price gain in 2021 could be nothing compared to what lies ahead for the meme coin. Specifically, Martinez predicted that Shiba Inu could see a historic 122,000% price surge to $0.011.

At the time of writing, SHIB is trading around $0.00003116, up over 3% in the last 24 hours according to data from CoinMarketCap.
