Essay 1: Essay about Holiday with My Family

This time, in the winters, our small family planned for a holiday in the hills of Darjeeling. This was a much-needed break for the members of this family to remain quite busy in their daily scheduled life. They remain occupied in the strictly disciplined life of either work or study. My little sister and I study in grades 8 and 4, respectively, my father is a deputy manager in his reputed company, and my mother is a working lady and also a housewife. So, you can guess how our life will be in the strict realms of schedule. Thus, this time, my father and I decided on a short trip to the hills.

We started our journey on the 1st of December, 2019. On the way, we played a variety of games. The view over the hills was quite pleasant to watch. When we were on the top of the summits, we looked down at our town, which seemed like a toy town; how small that was from the top!

We clicked pretty snaps of the places, clicked pictures of us, of the local residents there, after which we went to a famous restaurant to eat our afternoon meal. We had the most delightful dumplings and noodles, which were cooked and served to us when still on steam.

As dusk dawned on us, the jungles over the hills seemed to tell us another story of spirits and supernaturals. My sister and I were quite fantasized about this view. We preferred to keep our eyes shut till we reached our destination. It was half-past 8 when we reached the hotel where we would spend the night. The hotel staff was kind people who welcomed us with great warmth. We freshened up and went downstairs to watch their cultural program. The tribes danced to the music of one of their traditional songs, which was quite amazing for us to watch. After this, dinner was served. The dinner was quite rich and they served us in a sophisticated manner. After the tiring day, we decided to call it off and went to sleep.

The next day, we went hiking in the mountains. When we reached the peak of the mountains, it was a very delightful view. We decided to camp for the rest of the day there in the hills. The scenario and being on the lap of nature were quite peaceful and serene.

After the trip, we came down to our town and normalized our lives.

This trip had ushered a sense of great peace and calmness in my mind, which was to be instilled. The memories of the trip were to remain fresh in my mind like the fresh droplets on the leaves.

Essay 2: Essay on Holiday

Holidays have joyous feelings related to them. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love this holiday because it comes in December, which is also my birth month. There are a lot of exciting things we do during Christmas. We start making preparations for Christmas early before the month starts.

This year, my friends and I made snowmen with snow outside our houses. My dad put up all the lights in the interior and exterior of the house. It was looking really bright and pretty. My mom made a lot of food, cakes, and snacks, and ate with our family. My cousins from the US came over to spend time with us.

Our whole group of family and friends ate and talked and laughed with each other, sitting cozily near the fireplace, with the Christmas tree towering over us. I had a lot of fun. It is one of my best experiences and I hope to feel it again.

Narrative Essay on How I spent my holiday

Holidays hold a special place in everyone’s life, offering a respite from the routine of daily tasks and providing an opportunity to explore, relax, and create unforgettable memories. This year, I decided to spend my holiday in a way that was both enriching and exhilarating. I ventured on a journey to a small coastal town, renowned for its pristine beaches, rich culture, and vibrant local life. This narrative essay unfolds the experiences, discoveries, and personal growth I encountered during my holiday.

The Journey Begins

My adventure commenced with the excitement of traveling to a place I had never visited before. The anticipation built up as I packed my bags, ensuring I had everything needed for a week of exploration. The journey to the coastal town was a scenic delight, with winding roads flanked by lush greenery and the occasional glimpse of the ocean’s horizon promising a serene escape.

Exploring the Coastal Town

Upon arrival, the beauty of the town exceeded my expectations. The air was filled with the salty breeze of the sea and the streets buzzed with the energy of daily life. My first day was spent wandering through the town, taking in the sights and sounds. I visited local markets, where I marveled at the craftsmanship of the artisans and indulged in the town’s culinary delights, tasting dishes that were a fusion of traditional recipes and the bounty of the sea.

The Heart of Nature

The following days were dedicated to exploring the natural wonders surrounding the town. I embarked on hikes through nearby trails, each revealing breathtaking views of the landscape. The highlight was a trek to a secluded beach, accessible only by a narrow path through the cliffs. The effort was rewarded with a serene beach, untouched by the hustle and bustle of tourist spots. Here, I spent hours swimming in the clear waters, reading under the shade of palm trees, and reflecting on the simple pleasures of life.

Cultural Immersion

My holiday was not just about relaxation but also about immersing myself in the local culture. I attended a traditional dance performance, where the rhythmic beats and expressive movements of the dancers told stories of the town’s history and folklore. I also participated in a cooking class, learning to prepare local dishes that combined fresh seafood with exotic spices, gaining not only culinary skills but also insights into the lifestyle and traditions of the people.

The Bond of Friendship

One of the most unexpected and rewarding aspects of my holiday was the friendships I formed. Whether it was conversations with local residents, sharing stories with fellow travelers, or the camaraderie with the host of my accommodation, these connections added depth to my experience. Through these interactions, I gained a richer understanding of the world from different perspectives, reminding me of the value of openness and the universal language of kindness.

Reflections and Realizations

As my holiday drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the journey. Beyond the relaxation and enjoyment, it was a period of personal growth and learning. I had stepped out of my comfort zone, challenged myself to try new things, and embraced the unfamiliar. This holiday taught me the importance of slowing down, appreciating the moment, and the joy of discovering new places and cultures.

My holiday in the coastal town was more than just a break from routine; it was a journey of discovery, connection, and personal growth. It reminded me of the beauty of our world, the diversity of its people, and the shared experiences that bind us. As I returned home, I brought back not only souvenirs and photographs but memories that will last a lifetime and a renewed sense of adventure, ready to explore what lies beyond the horizon.

Share your traditions, weigh in on a seasonal debate, write a creative story or reflect on the year behind you while preparing for the one ahead.

Hands fill up plates from dishes of food on a table with a red tablecloth. A bowl with a green salad is in the center of the table, and next to it is a casserole dish of macaroni and cheese and a candleholder with six red candles.

By Natalie Proulx

Merry Christmas , happy Hanukkah , joyous Kwanzaa and happy New Year.

To celebrate the season, we’ve rounded up 15 prompts we’ve written over the years that you can use for writing or discussion in the classroom, among your friends or at your holiday gatherings. You might talk about your beloved family traditions, weigh in on a seasonal debate, write a holiday-themed short story or poem, or reflect on the year behind you and prepare for the one ahead.

Each of these prompts was inspired by a New York Times article, essay or image, and many of them are still open for comment for students 13 or older.

For more writing prompts and conversation-starters, see our related column .

Hanukkah? Christmas? Kwanzaa? A combination? Something else? Use this prompt to talk or write about your own holiday celebrations — or those that other families have that you wish you could be a part of.

2. What Are Your Family Traditions?

Students who weighed in on this prompt told us about preparing 12 meals for Ukrainian Christmas, making the haft sin for Nowruz, lighting the candles on the menorah for Hanukkah and playing the game White Elephant. What rituals help you mark the holidays or reflect on the year?

3. What Foods Will Be on Your Holiday Table?

Food is an important part of holiday celebrations all over the world. What dishes will be on your table this year? You might talk about the best festive snacks and finger foods with this prompt , or take inspiration from Lunar New Year and share your favorite holiday food traditions with this prompt .

4. How Do You Decorate for the Season?

Traditional or modern? Over-the-top or more understated? Discuss the way your family decorates for the holidays — or how you wish it did — with these two prompts. How do you think you will choose to decorate your home when you are older?

5. What Role Does Religion Play in Your Holiday Celebrations?

Several of the winter holidays have religious roots. In “ Saying Goodbye to Hanukkah ,” a writer asks whether you can celebrate traditionally religious holidays without religion. What do you think? Read the essay and then use this prompt to talk or write about how much religion is a part of your life and your holiday celebrations.

6. Do You Look Forward to Family Get-Togethers This Time of Year?

The approaching holidays often mean spending more time with family members, who come from near and far. Who do you look forward to seeing this time of year? Do you enjoy large family get-togethers or do you find them overwhelming? Use this prompt to talk or write about your most memorable family gathering.

What are you giving this holiday season? What are you hoping to get, or what have you already received? Use this prompt to share your gift-giving dos and don’ts, talk about the best and worst gifts you’ve gotten and weigh in on the adage “It’s better to give than to receive.”

Or, use this prompt to debate the commercialization of Christmas and whether experiences make better gifts than physical items do.

8. Should Phones Ever Be a Part of Family or Holiday Gatherings?

Now it’s time for a holiday debate: Are phones and other electronics welcome at your family or holiday gatherings? Do you think they should be? Can they ever be helpful? Or are they a distraction from spending quality time with your loved ones? Discuss these questions and others with our related prompt .

9. What Will You Be Watching, Listening To and Wearing This Season?

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”? Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”? An ugly Christmas sweater, perhaps? Use these prompts to debate the best and worst holiday films , share what’s on your seasonal playlist and plan your special holiday outfit .

10. What Can You Do for Others This Year?

This year, Nov. 29 was #GivingTuesday on social media, a day when you were invited to take a break from buying things, and, instead, show generosity to others. The Giving Tuesday website suggests thinking about it this way:

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

What do you have to give? What people, issues or causes are important to you? What can you do this holiday season to give back? Tell us here , and then get more inspiration from the Opinion section’s Holiday Giving Guide .

11. What Seasonal Story Could These Images Tell?

my holiday essay in english

A magical gift. A sledding adventure. A family gathering. What story could these images from around The Times tell? Choose one or more of the holiday- and winter-themed picture prompts from the slide show above, and then write a creative short story, poem or memoir inspired by them.

Another option? Use one of these images to play Exquisite Corpse with your friends, family or classmates: One person starts by writing or saying aloud the first line of a story based on the image, and then another person adds on, and so on.

12. What Were the Best and Worst Things About 2022 for You?

The Times’s art and culture critics often end the year by compiling a series of “best of” lists — the best TV shows , movies , art , songs , podcasts , books , comedy , poetry , theater , dance performances and more .

What would be on your “best of the year” list? What would be on your “worst of the year” list? What art or pop culture did you love or loathe? What news, sporting events or viral social media moments did you think were great or terrible? What were the most notable aspects of your personal, family or academic life? Use this prompt to help you make your “best” and “worst” lists and then compare them to those of other students.

13. What Would You Pick as Word of the Year?

Every year the Oxford English Dictionary selects a “word of the year” that is meant “to reflect the ethos, mood or preoccupations” of the previous year. For 2022, the publisher chose “goblin mode.” What do you think of this choice? What is one word or phrase that you think sums up this year? Weigh in on our related prompt .

14. What Was the Best Day of Your Year?

When you look back on the past year, what would you say was your most memorable day? Were you celebrating a big life event or achievement, like getting your license? Or were you doing something more mundane — perhaps talking to a friend on the phone, making a meal for your family or taking a long walk alone? What made that day so special to you?

Even though this prompt was written in 2021, you can still use the article and questions to take some time to appreciate your favorite day of this past year.

15. Do You Make New Year’s Resolutions?

As one year ends and another begins, will you take stock of all that you have (or haven’t) accomplished and make resolutions for the year ahead? Or, like other Gen Zers, according to this article , do you set goals all year round? Use this prompt to talk or write about the various goals or self-improvements you are currently working toward, as well as those you’d like to focus on in the New Year.

How to Write a Summer Vacation Essay

Summer break is a great time to kick back, relax and enjoy yourself and, if you’re lucky, to go on an awesome trip! But how can you translate your amazing vacation into a narrative essay for English class or work it to fit a common application prompt? Here’s some tips to help you out:

Save Mementos From Your Summer

Even if you’re not the sentimental type, make sure to document your summer travels. Take pictures, write diary entries, save train stubs. This is the best way to ensure that you’ll remember your summer well enough to look back and write about it later.

Write an Outline Before Writing Your Essay

Regardless of whether you spent your summer break in Madison, Wisconsin or Madrid, Spain, you should plan out what you’re going to write before diving in. Make a list of what you’ve done over the summer so that you can later narrow down a focus for the essay itself. Keep in mind that the best essay topics aren’t always on the most exciting activities an essay about getting stuck in traffic on the way to the airport on the way to Denver could work better than an essay on hiking the Grand Canyon and looking out at the incredible view.

Be Specific

Since you’re going to keep a record of your trip and come up with an outline before writing your essay, you should be able to put some detail into your essay. Be as specific as possible when it comes to your word choice. If you’re talking about some gelato that you ate in Italy, don’t say that it was “delicious.” Instead, say that it was “creamy and chocolatey, with a note of vanilla.”

Focus on Feelings About Your Trip, Not What You Did

If you spent the summer on the beach in Cape Cod, you shouldn’t write about what you did. You should write instead about how you felt while there. An essay that reads “I went to beach, then had lobster for dinner” is not quite as exciting as one that goes, “As I went for a walk on the beach, I thought about how lucky I was to be able to enjoy nature.” Feelings translate better into text than events, and you should try to place those feelings into context.

Stick to Writing About a Small Moment

With any essay you write especially a short one it’s important to focus a narrow moment in time. Don’t write about your entire week in Paris. Instead, write about the moment you got lost in the city at midnight and fumbled your way home in the dark. You don’t have to pick a particularly glamorous moment from your trip, but you should pick one that meant something to you.

Edit Your Essay Carefully

The shorter the essay, the more important precision is. Regardless of length, make sure to carefully read over what you’ve written to make sure every sentence conveys the message you most want displayed. The editing process matters just as much as the writing process, even if it seems less so.

How to Write an Essay on How You Spent Your Summer Vacation

Last Updated: January 4, 2020

This article was co-authored by Alexander Peterman, MA . Alexander Peterman is a Private Tutor in Florida. He received his MA in Education from the University of Florida in 2017. This article has been viewed 51,745 times.

Writing an essay on how you spent your summer vacation is a classic way of starting a new school year. Think about this essay as an opportunity to tell a story about your summer while reflecting on the experiences you had. Choose a memorable moment you had this summer and start crafting your essay, giving as many details as possible.

Choosing a Topic

Step 1 Look back on mementos you kept from the summer.

  • These can also make nice visual aids if you are asked to present your essay.

Step 2 Make a list of the things you’ve done over summer vacation.

  • A list might be full of things like babysitting, attending a camp, working at a local store, taking a road trip, etc. This type of brainstorming can help you pick major events and other important moments from your summer.

Step 3 Write about a memorable moment.

  • For example, maybe you spent your summer traveling around Japan. Think of a memorable moment you had while traveling — maybe you walked up a mountain in the pouring rain — and write about this moment, adding lots of details.

Step 4 Create an outline...

  • For example, if you're writing about spending time at the beach, your outline could remind you to talk about the sandcastle building contest you entered, the dolphins you saw, and the ice cream you ate every day.
  • Details might be what the other sandcastles looked like, how far away the dolphins were, and what kind of toppings were on your ice cream.
  • Your outline is just to help you organize your thoughts — it can be written by hand or typed.

Crafting the Essay

Step 1 Focus on your feelings, interactions, and thoughts.

  • Instead of saying that you worked in a pet store, ate a PB&J sandwich, and walked home every day, talk about more than just your actions. You could talk about which pets are your favorites to work with, how it felt to eat the same sandwich every day, or what you thought about on your walk home.

Step 2 Use your 5 senses to explain your experiences.

  • Using sensory details like these will help your readers visualize and engage with your writing. These help your audience make your experiences feel real to them, even though they weren't there.

Step 3 Describe activities you did in each place you went.

  • For example, instead of saying “I went to the beach this summer,” try saying “I spent my summer swimming in the frigid water at Virginia Beach.” The more details you can provide, the more engaged your reader will be.

Step 4 Choose precise, descriptive adjectives.

  • Instead of saying “the burger was really good,” you could say, “the burger was juicy and filling.”

Step 5 Revise and edit your essay carefully.

  • Don't just rely on spellcheck. It will help catch some errors, but it will miss some things, too.
  • Ask a parent or other adult to read over your essay too, if you'd like.
  • Setting your essay aside for a little while will give you a fresher perspective when you go back to revise it.

Structuring Your Essay

Step 1 Start with a strong introduction.

  • Make sure your conclusion doesn’t just copy the introduction.

Holidays are the most joyous time for every student. Let’s relive the joy through this short paragraph:

Everyone loves holidays, whether they are for one day or one month! Students especially look forward to their annual school vacation. They love that they don’t need to get up early for school and can get extra sleep hours. It’s a healthy break from a routine. Kids plan so many things for their holidays; some want to spend it with their cousins in their grandparent’s or relatives’ house. Routine life is boring, especially for kids. Holiday is the magic word that gives them a break from their school routine. Whether it’s a short break or the annual holidays, every student eagerly waits for them. Holidays are the time when they can sleep late, wake up late and spend hours playing. Parents won’t rush them to complete homework. Nor would their parents stop them from playing extra hours. Some kids even invite their friends for sleepovers or movie nights. Most kids don’t get enough time to learn new sports or hobbies during school days. So, the holidays are the perfect time to learn how to play the guitar or go swimming or even join that reading club. Most families plan a get-together during long holidays. It is the time to visit new places and enjoy yourself with family. Holidays give us a break from everyday life to relax and rejuvenate.

Here is a long holiday essay for class 3 students. Kids can read and learn from it to write a long essay on holidays for their school assignments.

One thing that never fails to make us smile is the word holiday. Whether we are young or old, we all look forward to holidays. They are the perfect time to relax and take a break from our daily routine. Our days of leisure, are the most important and memorable days of our lives. Let’s understand how important are holidays and ways to enjoy them the most.

Importance of Holiday For Students And Working People

Everyone loves holidays. However, they hold a different level of importance for different people. For students, holidays are the time when they can do extra things apart from their studies. In their daily school lives, students don’t get much time to pursue their hobbies or interests. During holidays, they can explore a new interest or get themselves enrolled to learn new sports. Trying new things is important for a kid’s overall development. Kids also get more time to spend with their families and friends. So, holidays give them the perfect opportunity to do things they cannot do during school days.

Working people equally love holidays as young kids. Their long working hours and hectic lifestyle don’t leave them much time to relax or enjoy their hobbies. So, during the holidays, they relax and rejuvenate. They sleep in late, wake up late and enjoy the whole day with the family. During holidays, they can go on trips with family or friends to rejuvenate.

How To Make The Most Of Your Holidays

To fully utilise the holidays, one should list what they want to do or don’t get to do on their normal days. It could be spending time with friends, learning a new hobby, or sleeping late. Then, as per the time and number of days, start ticking things off the list. A new hobby or sport can be learned if you have long holidays. For a short holiday of a few days, a family trip can be planned. Just remember your holidays are the time to enjoy, relax and have lots of fun.

An essay on ‘holiday’ is a great way to teach your child the importance of relaxing, unwinding and doing better in our lives. Through this essay, they will also learn about various things they can do during holidays. While writing an essay on holidays, kids will learn the value of playing sports and learning new hobbies to become active and smart.

Some noteworthy points about holidays:

1. Why Is A Holiday Important?

Holidays are important as they give us time to relax and rejuvenate. During holidays we get more time with our near ones and can pursue our hobbies.

2. How One Can Spend His/Her Holiday?

One can spend their holidays in numerous ways. They can pursue their hobbies, learn new interests like singing, dancing, sports or arts, spend time with friends or go on a trip. The list is endless.

Holidays are best enjoyed when they are spent doing things we like or with people we love. They are the ideal time to learn or do extra activities, spend time with family and relax. Writing an essay on holidays will allow kids to explore their thoughts and desires related to this beautiful topic.

My last summer vacation was very interesting, due to several reasons, the most important of which is that I was able to join my favorite sport, which is (……).

This was not the first vacation that I tried to join a club and be part of a team, so I had many previous attempts, but I kept trying to raise my fitness level so that I could achieve my goal, and this holiday I was able to do so.

It is wonderful to reap the fruits of your efforts with the result you wanted to get. I can’t describe the amount of time I have devoted to training, or to a regular diet so that I can build strong muscle mass and increase my physical fitness. I am very eager to participate in official matches and appear in front of family and friends.

Of course, this vacation was not without fun either. So, after spending my training times, I would go out regularly to the beach with my friends, swim, relax and dance. And trying some new experiences on me. So I was able to divide my time and create a schedule where I could train, rest and have fun.

My last summer holiday

My last summer vacation I was able to spend some useful activities like running a marathon in our town every summer of the year. Everyone shares it. Dedicated to all townspeople. It aims at the importance of sport to society and the individual.

I really liked my subscription to it this year. There was a challenge between me and my friends over who could win. Although we couldn’t complete it completely, we were happy to run a few miles  and maybe in the coming years we can win first place.

I also participated in a sports activity last holiday. Karate, which is one of the most famous martial arts sports. I loved a lot to join it to learn some defensive skills, which might benefits me in the future in defending myself.

I loved this sport because it brings out all the negative energy in my body and helps me to raise my physical fitness. I hope in the future to participate in tournaments at school and get some prizes, that would be very nice.

Last summer holiday

Last summer I went on a camping trip in the woods, we were ten people, it was a really fun vacation and I learned a lot like self-reliance, I was cooking by myself, using some tree branches that my friend collected, as we divided the work, one of us collects branches The trees, the second cooks food, the third washes the dishes, the fourth cleans the place, and the rest have to hunt some animals such as rabbits, or catch fish. And in the evening we sit around the fire singing and tell about the strange events that happened to us.

Paragraph about last Summer Holiday

Last summer I went to the village, I love the calm and I like to watch the beautiful landscapes. In the village we can enjoy the tranquility and the beautiful scenery. I used to get up early and watch the sunrise, a sight that I cannot see in my city, where the tall buildings. I also watch the birds above the trees, and they make beautiful sounds in preparation for flying to search for food.

Of course there is the experience of doing some handicrafts as well. I helped my relatives to work in one of the farms they own, which is dedicated to raising chickens. My job was to feed them and monitor the room temperature. That made me feel more responsible.

It made me appreciate the life I live and how my father provides us with all comfort means. Through this experience, I was able to feel that other people of my age suffer from a great lack of all the requirements of life.

So I find the last vacation wonderful and I was able to benefit a lot from it and learn some new things.

Write a paragraph about your last summer holidays

I really liked the last summer vacation, during which I was able to participate in several new activities and hobbies, such as swimming and driving mini-racing cars.

I also learned some new skills such as making fire from different tools, through friction. I also learned some survival skills like catching small wild animals, or catching fish from the river and making traps for them.

Last summer vacation was filled with many experiences. I learned from other people and am now ready to teach my younger brother some of these skills and habits.

I will be very happy if this experience is repeated again.

My last summer vacation

My last summer vacation was very special because I was able to benefit from it more than any other vacation. Where I was able to volunteer in the Greenpeace organization to protect the environment. It is a non-governmental, compliant association of forty countries, with four million members in Europe, South and North America. It is concerned with protecting the seas and forests and preserving natural resources.

I really enjoyed the volunteer activities I did during my last summer vacation. Perhaps it is just simple works such as maintaining the cleanliness of the road and the city, and posting instructions to the people on how to preserve the forests and seas, but I felt that I was doing something beneficial to society and the whole universe.

It is good to do useful activities, not only think about ourselves, rather, the goal is to benefit all of humanity. That will certainly preserve us as well and bring benefit to us.

I feel that there is an understanding between us and that we think in the same way and we have common interests. I never felt that someone understood me and listened to me like him before.

So it is great to meet our soul mate and be friends with him. It makes me very happy and I feel that this holiday I was able to achieve something wonderful for me.

Last Holiday Essay

I was very happy with the last vacation, where we went to a tourist country called (type the name of the country). By traveling by plane, the travel took (type the number of hours).

Upon arrival, I was very excited to get to the hotel, change my clothes, and go out for a walk. We arrived at 6pm so I have a few hours to enjoy. So my sister and I went out to see the markets and streets near the hotel.

The first area we went to was (type the name of an area). The first thing we saw in front of us was a fast food area in a modern and sophisticated style. We liked this very much and wish there was a similar one in my city.

After that, we got acquainted with some people who come for tourism as well, like us, and they advised us to have a local drink in one of the cafes. We went there and ordered it, it calls Fakhfakhina.

The name may be strange, but it is very tasty and we liked it. Then we returned to the hotel to rest until we go out in the itinerary.

In the morning we woke up to ride the bus and go to some archaeological and tourist places. I enjoyed this experience a lot. Where you got acquainted with a civilization of (type the name of the country) and its history.

Then the next day we went to the beach. I liked very much the shape of the beach, the cleanliness of the sea, the organization of tables, and the fresh drinks that give activity and vitality. I really liked this atmosphere and we spent three days of our trip on the beach.

After that we went to the markets to buy some presents and take some pictures of the markets. I found many brands beside some beautiful local industries. We bought some local clothes and pieces, we still keep it and remember by seeing it this experience and journey.

My last summer holidays

On my last vacation, I took part in a hobby that I love very much, which is drawing. I joined the drawing center, I have had a hobby since I was young, but I did not seek to develop and master it except during my last summer vacation.

So I went to a specialized center for learning, and I spent all my time, whether in learning and training, or watching after lessons through the Internet.

I can say that I benefited a lot from my last summer vacation because I learned a lot from it and I am definitely no longer a beginner like the past years. It will be easy in the upcoming summer holidays to learn more easily and conveniently.

I am so excited for the upcoming vacation and going to learn modern painting methods.

Last summer holiday essay

Last summer vacation was absolutely wonderful, as I enjoyed a lot as I got to know my family more and we could play together all the time.

When you are sure that there is no alternative and accept the reality, you will find yourself happy and no matter where you are or with whom, the most important thing is that they love you and see you a special.

During the last summer vacation, all the countries experienced a global epidemic, which required not to leave the homes. The epidemic was very dangerous and caused death, and spread rapidly, so everyone was afraid for himself and his family from infection, or transmitting the infection to them.

So last summer, I didn’t do many activities, but I enjoyed the traditional games with my family members. I found that we are having a nice time, I found myself relieving them and joking a lot and showing them some things that I learned from my friends so that they do not get bored of the house and decide to go out. The same thing happened to all of my family. Everyone tried to make the atmosphere happy and simple.

So although it was a difficult holiday for many people who were injured or someone of their family was injured, it was good for me and my family.

My last summer holiday text

It is great that we were able to go out a little and have a picnic during this holiday. After the Corona pandemic that affected the world in the past two years, there was no longer any kind of activities, so the last summer vacation may be the most valuable, because when we lose something from the life we used to live, only then we appreciate it and know how much grace we were living with

So on this summer vacation even though we couldn’t do many activities but some simple things made us happy and made us feel that we still have freedom in life, and we are not so restricted as we felt in the past two years.

I enjoyed going out to the shops with my family members and shopping, and meeting some of my friends, and strolling on the beach, and I was very happy to return to some of the activities I used to do, such as the gym and restaurants.

It is wonderful to appreciate and enjoy life without fear and anxiety about something dangerous that may happen to you. I hope this crisis will pass and we will return to normal life.

Write a short paragraph about your last summer holiday

It is great to spend some quality time with family and friends. I really enjoyed spending my last summer vacation with my family.

I live in the city of (type the name of the city)I have two sisters, my father and mother work in the field of education, so the summer vacation is for all of us.

We gather to relax and spend some nice time on the beaches or take a stroll in the famous parks and streets. I enjoyed my last vacation a lot because I was able to get off on one of the fishing boats with my father. This is my first experience and it was really exciting, we were able to catch some famous types of fish, including tuna.

I felt great enthusiasm and a high flow of adrenaline, when I managed to get it out of the water and saw it in front of me, I felt a victory, which made me love this hobby and want to go back to fishing again as soon as possible.

Therefore, I describe this summer vacation as being very special and wonderful and with amazing things for the first time I do.

Writing about last summer holiday

Last summer was absolutely wonderful. I was able to get acquainted with a friend who I find very wonderful. I am very happy to be there and talk to her. We go to several places together, we met in the club.

Also, last summer, I was able to join the football team in my city, train with them, and maybe if I worked hard enough, I would move to the main team.

I also gained confidence in myself in the face of others, became more understanding, more proficient in persuasion and public speaking, and learned some new skills.

I also started to learn a new language, I am currently trying to learn the Italian language, I find it very attractive, I am trying to impress my friends with some famous romantic sentences in the Italian language.

They laugh a lot because of what I tell them, and they find it great, so I find that last summer vacation was great and everything is going well.

Write about your last summer holiday

In fact, I was not able to go out and participate in any activities last year, due to the mutation of the Corona virus, and the emergence of new forms of it that infected many and spread in my city, so I stayed at home most of the time to prevent and protect my family from this dangerous disease.

I did some individual sports from time to time in the early morning, and quickly came home. I also participated online in some language courses, trying to take advantage of my spare time.

I hope in the future that the summer holidays will be better and there are no dangers surrounding us , so that we can release the trapped energy inside us, and learn some new activities and hobbies, or some crafts that we learn if we work in the summer vacation.

My last holiday essay 150 words

My last vacation was absolutely wonderful because my dad was with us for longer time. In the recent period, many companies and labor offices have reduced working hours to half, and reduced the number of workers in offices, which helped my father to be among us for a longer time, and we became involved in many sports activities and hobbies that we both love, such as fishing and playing soccer.

We went a lot last summer vacation to fish and play soccer and practice some moves. I had so much fun because I learned some new fishing methods from my father, the ties that helped me not to lose big fish and how to deal with them. I found the whole vacation wonderful.

I was able to go out with my father and many of my friends, and I enjoyed a lot by joining some of the free voluntary associations that aim to preserve the environment and reduce pollution.

My last summer vacation was very wonderful, I am one of the girls who loves to sit at home, and in light of the disease that is spreading now, I found myself sitting more than usual because of my safety and the safety of those around me.

I love going into the kitchen and learning some new recipes. I find myself in the kitchen and I feel happy when I prepare a meal and I hope everyone likes it, and they ask me for it again.

I love watching cooking movies, especially fantasy movies, in which the chef uses magic, and prepares imaginary meals. I like so much to imagine myself preparing amazing meals that will amaze everyone, I hope in the future when I grow up to learn in a dedicated school, become a famous chef and people from all over the world come to watch me.

Currently, I am content with learning from the Internet and television, and trying to present the recipes as they prepare them. In the future when I have the possibility to try adding new ideas for food development, I will definitely.

This is how I spent my last summer vacation, at home and watching cooking programmes. I hope in the next year normal life returns and I can go out and practice some activities and hobbies.

Planning The Holiday

Planning The Holiday

Choosing the destination is the first step in planning a holiday. After researching various options, I decided to visit Bali, Indonesia. Bali is known for its picturesque landscapes, pristine beaches, and rich culture. I made travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodation, and transportation. I also researched the customs and etiquette of the Balinese people and packed them accordingly.

The Holiday Experience

On arrival, I was struck by the warm and welcoming nature of the Balinese people. The first few days were spent exploring the local markets, trying traditional cuisine, and getting to know the locals. I visited temples, learned about the cultural significance of each, and participated in religious rituals. The highlight of my trip was visiting the Tanah Lot Temple, which is located on a rock formation in the sea. The breathtaking sunset view from the temple was an unforgettable experience.

During the trip, I also indulged in activities such as surfing, snorkeling, and yoga. Bali is renowned for its world-class surf breaks, and I was excited to try it for the first time. I also discovered the beauty of underwater life while snorkeling and learned about the philosophy of yoga.

Accommodation And Food

The accommodation was comfortable, with a stunning view of the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. Bali’s cuisine is diverse and flavorful, with an emphasis on using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. I tried a variety of dishes, including Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, and Babi Guling.

Reflection And Lessons Learned

The holiday allowed me to disconnect from my daily routine and experience a different way of life. I learned about the importance of community and spirituality in Balinese culture. The locals’ simple way of life taught me the value of gratitude, compassion, and mindfulness. I also discovered my love for surfing and continued to pursue it after returning home. The holiday gave me a fresh perspective on life and helped me to prioritize my mental and emotional well-being.

My favorite holiday is Christmas, which comes on December 25th every year. It is a special time when families and friends come together to share joy and warmth. The festive mood, the twinkling lights, and the beautiful decorations make this holiday the most cheerful for me.

Decorations and Music

The first thing I love about Christmas is the decorations. Streets and homes are adorned with colorful lights and shiny ornaments. The Christmas tree stands tall in our living room, covered with glittering decorations and topped with a bright star. I also enjoy the music that fills the air during this season. The songs are merry and they spread happiness everywhere.

Gift-Giving and Santa Claus

Another exciting part of Christmas is the tradition of giving and receiving gifts. I put a lot of thought into choosing presents for my family and friends, and I can’t wait to see their faces when they open them. The story of Santa Claus, who brings gifts to children around the world, adds to the magic of the holiday.

Family Time and Food

Most importantly, Christmas is about spending time with my family. We eat a big meal together, with lots of delicious food like roast turkey and sweet pies. We talk, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company, creating memories that last a lifetime.

500 Words Essay on My Favorite Holiday

Introduction to my favorite holiday.

Everyone loves holidays because they are times when we can relax, have fun, and spend time with our families and friends. Of all the holidays, my favorite is Christmas. It is a special time when we celebrate joy, kindness, and the spirit of giving.

The Joy of Christmas Decorations

One of the things that makes Christmas my favorite holiday is the decorations. Streets and houses shine with colorful lights. Inside homes, Christmas trees stand tall, decorated with sparkly ornaments and twinkling lights. The reds, greens, and golds make everything look magical. At night, the lights make the snow sparkle like a blanket of stars.

Spending Time with Family

Christmas is a time when my family comes together. Relatives who live far away visit, and we get to spend time with them. We talk, laugh, and share stories. It feels warm and cozy to be surrounded by the people I love. We also have a big meal together, with lots of delicious food like roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and pies. Eating with everyone around the table is one of the best parts of the holiday.

Gift-Giving and Receiving

Another reason I love Christmas is the tradition of giving and receiving gifts. I enjoy thinking about what my family and friends might like and then finding the perfect presents for them. Wrapping the gifts in bright paper and ribbons is fun, too. On Christmas morning, we all sit around the tree and open our presents. Seeing the happy faces when someone opens a gift I gave them is a wonderful feeling.

The Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is not just about the presents and decorations; it’s also about kindness and helping others. Many people do nice things for those who are less fortunate during this time. We might donate food, clothes, or toys to those who need them. This part of Christmas shows us that giving to others can make us feel good inside.

Christmas Traditions

There are also many fun traditions during Christmas. We sing holiday songs called carols, and sometimes we go to special church services. Some families bake cookies or make gingerbread houses. These activities are not just fun; they also bring us closer together.

Conclusion: Why Christmas is Special to Me

Christmas is my favorite holiday for many reasons. The beautiful decorations, spending time with family, giving and getting presents, the true meaning of the holiday, and the fun traditions all make it a time of happiness and warmth. It’s a time when we can forget about our problems and enjoy being together. That’s why Christmas will always be the holiday I love the most.
